JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for managing store operations, staff leadership, training and development, employee hiring and firing, and providing excellent customer service in selling art materials and custom frame design.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

1. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

2. Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a staff.

3. Possess interpersonal skills crucial for relating with superiors, coworkers and customers.

4. Capable of handling multiple tasks; is self-directed and relish autonomy.

5. Demonstrate the ability to organize, plan and execute with confidence and flexibility.

6. Demonstrate good judgment in decision-making.

7. Possess the aptitude for learning procedures, applied learning and the ability to recognize these skills in others.

8. Ability to “see the big picture” in setting store goals.

9. Must be computer literate and possess basic arithmetic skills.

EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate should have previous experience in retail store operations, customer service, staff supervision and an art materials background.
