The photo emulsion method of screen printing is perhaps the most exciting method created! It makes fine line drawings, computer generated images, various hand and commercial lettering and photographic half-tone positives. The photo emulsion method requires:
A screen prepared with the photo emulsion/sensitizer mixture
A film positive or a printed transparency film
A light source (Speedball recommends a BBA #1 photo flood) that will transfer the opaque images on your positive to the light-sensitive printing screen
Another method of screen preparation is the use of Screen Drawing Fluid together with Screen Filler. Apply Screen Drawing Fluid with a brush, allow fluid to dry, then coat the screen with Screen Filler. When dry, the Drawing Fluid can be washed out, allowing the drawn image to be printed.
