In 1993, Daniel Smith set out to create a line of watercolors with one goal in mind: to bring the watercolor artist the very best product available. The sheer amount of pigment packed into each tube was exceptional, as was the policy of providing complete product information on each label. Daniel Smith currently offers over 200 different colors, with more in the works every year. The amazing selection of Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors spans the spectrum from the historical, to natural earth and PrimaTek colors, to the Quinacridones, the brightest and boldest colors modern technology has to offer. Early on, Daniel Smith Inc. was the first to offer Quinacridone pigments in artists’ paints. Daniel Smith’s pigments may come from every continent except Antarctica but the paints are manufactured in Seattle, Washington.
