Masa is a Japanese sulphite pulp paper that can be used for a wide variety of art techniques, including sumi-e ink painting, watercolor and printmaking. Similar to rice paper, Masa is strong, thin paper with both internal and external sizing and holds up well to the wetting process. One side is smooth and the other side has a slight tooth.
