R&F Encaustic Mediums
R&F Encaustic Medium is encaustic paint minus the pigment. Use to extend colors and to create transparencies. It is recommended to extend colors with encaustic medium rather than plain beeswax. This is because the medium maintains the hardness of the paint film. Also, encaustics made only with beeswax will develop bloom in cold temperatures; the damar resin helps to prevent this blooming.
