On Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 from 11am-4pm, professional artists will demonstrate various media, techniques, and styles. Creative demos and hands-on activities will include airbrushing, drawing, acrylic and oil painting, screen printing, and much more. Along with ongoing demonstrations and activities for all ages and skill levels, there will be free samples and door prizes! There’s something for everyone at Hands on Creativity. Join us for a fun and interesting conversation with Scott Stevenson, Sales Representative for DANIEL SMITH Manufacturing. Have questions about Quinacridone pigments? Wonder where the color Serpentine comes from? How did the color Moonglow get its name or how does DANIEL SMITH test pigments for lightfastness? What’s granulation? This is a great opportunity to ask questions in a conversational and relaxed atmosphere. The presentation will start off with the history of DANIEL SMITH Manufacturing and the many aspects of developing DANIEL SMITH products. You will see firsthand lab paint outs, minerals used to manufacture colors in the PrimaTek line and more. The finale...the exciting opportunity to sample a selection of our colors and put paint to paper!!!

11:45am - 1:30pm Winsor & Newton: Explore ProMarkers & Brush Markers - With Nick Scrimenti
The new Fine Art Collective drawing demo covers a range of Winsor & Newton ProMarkers and Brush Markers. In this hands-on event, Nick will demonstrate the blending properties of the Brush and ProMarkers and show tips and techniques to help create artwork you can be proud of. After the demo, you will have the chance to use the markers first hand to create your own artwork.

2:00pm - 4:00pm Golden: Learn About All Things Acrylic! - Sponsored by Golden Artist Colors
The GOLDEN Acrylics FREE lecture and demonstration is a fun, informative, educational and fast-paced presentation of all the products GOLDEN has to offer. The lecture covers information about the different types of acrylic paints, mediums, gels, pastes and grounds. The lecture will also cover a technical review of acrylics and their varied application possibilities, working in mixed media, printmaking, and the review of GOLDEN’s newest products including OPEN acrylics, High Flow acrylics and QoR watercolor. The lecture also covers proper ways to varnish and touches on some notes for Willamsburg Oils Paints as well. All participants will receive a free information packet, hand painted color charts and a bag of free GOLDEN product samples to take home.
